You can play airsoft war games with a spring, gas, or electric powered airsoft gun, but many gamers choose to use the electric powered airsoft gun. Why? Because you can have a more rapid fire. You can just hold down the trigger and the BBs will keep coming.

On the other hand, a spring airsoft gun cannot fire so quickly -- it needs the extra time it takes to cock the barrel (and thereby compressing air in the gun). People still like a spring airsoft gun, though, because they are very durable. They are also the least expensive. A gas powered airsoft gun is more expensive, especially because you continually need to buy “green gas” to power them. These guns are rather accurate and powerful, though.
